Las Delicias "Special Reserve"
Apeneca-Ilamtepec, El Salvador
Description
How sweet it is! Now we loved last year's crop with it's sparkling acidity and citrus tang, but we've been blown away by 2010's, shade-grown Special Reserve. The lemon zest of last year has given way to notes of candied orange and toffee.
The clarity and cleanness of this fully washed coffee delivers a gorgeous mouthfeel and lingering finish. The Special Reserve is hand-sorted to ensure zero imperfections... and boy does it show.
We would highly recommend trying this one black before adding milk. And really watch the fruit flavours develop as the cup cools.
